our trip to l-town.

i have been at the thompson residence for a good 3 days now... and today it is back to the heat, bugs & work. ick.

we have had a jam-packed weekend, but in the midst of it all... i feel slightly refreshed. we flew in late thurs night and kept our hour-drive home exciting with some white castle. i didn't partake, but grant had his share of grease for the both of us!! on friday, we woke up pretty early and met a girl to do her senior pics. did some downtown action & got some famous mccords ice cream. again, i didn't partake, but there was enough sugar to go around. friday afternoon, we photographed a group of girls & then called it a day.

well... not exactly.

our friends who were getting married on saturday had invited grants whole family to the rehearsal/dinner because 7/8 of the family was doing something in the wedding in one way or another. so, we did a little set-up at the rehearsal and then it was off to the dinner. but wait... it gets more exciting. this huge storm was coming our way and the sky was black. everyone was trying to rush out of the church to make it to the restaurant before the rain started. well, on our way.... it starts sprinkling. but, we pull up to the curb and the it starts DOWNPOURING. im not talkin hard rain, im takin the kind of rain that drenches you in less than 30 seconds.

needless to say... we walked inside & were drenched from head to toe. we thought that everyone else inside would probably be in the same boat so we didn't think much about it. until we make our grand entrance and NO ONE else was wet. awesome. everyone else had either beat the rain, had an umbrella or just waited it out. what were we thinking?! so, we made a dash for the bathroom & were drying ourselves off as best as we could with papertowels and one little hand dryer. ha. how embarrassing!

on saturday, we photographed dan & lexi & all went pretty well. by now (mon morning), i am pretty exhausted. we have to leave for the airport around 2:30 & when we get in, davina will be waiting for us!! how crazy is that?! she is flying right now... to florida... to live! i LOVE it when people do stuff like that! just pick up and move!


alright, well if this isn't long enough... i dont know what is! back to florida we go...
