six.

well, six days to go before we are in our new casa. so excited. although i have royally hated living in the outskirts of town and all the critters we get, we have made a lot of memories in our loft off of shady oak dr. i didn't think i would really feel this way... not at all, actually. but, i am a little down when i come to terms with the fact that where we spent out first year of marriage will only be a vast memory as of tuesday. i can't imagine raising our kids in a home and then having to pick up and move and leave all of their childhood memories behind. oh gosh... that's so depressing!

speaking of kids (no, i do NOT have a bun in the oven!)... i have been thinking long and hard about names. i grew up with 3 kids in the family and grant grew up with 4. well, to make things complicated... i want 4, he wants 3. i guess we will see how it goes after thompson child #1, but i would love to have a big family! i remember growing up as a kid, we would go to the amusement park and i always had to ride with mom or dad cause my brothers wanted to ride together. so depressing as an 8 year old girl! so, i want a good, even number to level the field. ha. grant wants only 3 because he was so embarrased getting on the school bus with 4 kids (i don't understand, either!) and the fam would go to mc donalds for dinner & share value sized cokes. i guess we are kind of putting the ol' carriage before the horse, but it's still fun to talk about! motherhood is quite a ways off still (sorry dear friends who want to be an auntie!), but i know it will be here sooner than we know! yikes!

we took another IKEA trip last night. much less successful than last time. they are having a "store-wide sale". the only reason they call it "store-wide" is because there is like one item from each area on sale. lame-o. i found a fab duvet cover that i love. red & brown & tan. i think it would look fab in our guest room... now i just gotta convince the ol' hubster. alright... well, i guess i should work!

ciao.

hey. so i know this post is way old...but it's been a while since i've been on.

so i totally know what you mean about moving. we are moving here in the next couple weeks...to a much bigger townhouse...but i am so sad to leave our little place :( it's where we spent our first one and a half years of marriage...and now we are just leaving it...
that somehow seems very wrong...
