stupid car.

so, my friend ashley came up to lakeland this weekend to visit & to also try and sell her car. she bought a beautiful mountaineer less than a year ago & with the gas prices & such, wants to get a smaller car.

problem: all of america has come to that same realization in the past couple months.

well, we went to carmax first. for those of you non-floridians, it's just a dealership, but they supposedly have great deals & will give you better trade-in value. as we waited for the appraisal, we browsed their cars & such. there wasn't a whole lot that caught ashley's eye... except for the bmw's & suv's. ha.

they finally came back out with the appraisal & ashley's exact words were "are you kidding me?" & we walked out.
lame.

we decided we were going to try a few diff dealerships in orlando, so we drove to the toyota dealership. i was ticked off at them before we even got out of the car because as soon as we pulled in, flocks of men started walking towards us. obviously, you want your commission, but couldn't ya make it a little less obvious?! tick me off. so, we sat in the car & just waited for them to back off & as soon as all the creeps walked away, i made a mad dash towards "the bald guy in blue". unfortunately, as i approached him & another man talking, baldy walked away & we were left with j.p.

we looked at the new toyota yaris for a while & decided we wanted to take it for a spin. as we were leaving the dealership, we passed the used cars & we wanted to stroll through and then... there it was. a beautiful 2006 white passat. gorgeous leather & the whole 9 yards. problem: $23,000. so, we got back in our little yaris & left.

so, we both liked how it handled & such, but weren't sold on it.

we waited for the appraisal for a while & then j.p. & another guy came out. so, this other guy says "well, how much do you think we gonna give ya?" & we just kind of stared at him like he was an idiot (which he was). so, they sit down & we start talking numbers. he then mentions "well, we saw you also got it appraised at carmax & we are going to match their number". by this time, i had had it with this little bucked teeth cocky redneck. so, i said "how did you know we we went to carmax?" and he replied with "well, you left the appraisal in the car".

DANGIT!!!!!!!!!!!

so, long story, short... we walked away & went to shop our anger away. which brings up a whole other depressing story. i bought probably $50 worth of stuff at the mall & set my bag down somewhere!! ahh. lame-o.



well, we are off to the dealerships here in lakeland today. wish us luck!
