turning the page.

this weekend has been such a good, refreshing weekend. isn't it interesting how when you are finding your strength in god, that it almost feels like there are more hours added to your day? well... after a long few months, i feel like i am actually where god wants me. and i couldn't be happier.

i got a whole lot of much-needed jesus this weekend and i feel so alive. full of joy.

on friday, the youth staff called all of the staff and student leaders together for a time of prayer and worship. grant hadn't told me a whole lot about what we were doing, but he said to be there at 7, so i was. we had some really good worship and then pastor andrew (the sr high pastor) spoke for just a few minutes and a point that he hit on has been in my head all weekend. basically, when there is one person in a family that is sick, it usually isn't too long before it makes the rounds and everyone gets sick. same goes with a church family. if there are one or two "sick" leaders, that sickness will be passed down to the students. now, he wasn't referring to a cold, he was talking about an illness that is putting your relationship with god on hold. so,we will all be getting together one a month to pray and seek god corporately to make sure that we, as leaders, are at a place with god where we can lead. i love it. i love the concept. i love the heart behind it.

i could write about my sat morning with joyce meyer or my sat night at 'worship on canvas', but i seriously think i might fall asleep with my computer on my lap if i try! ok... gnite, world.
