jacuzzi sweet?

have you ever had one of those "this cant be happening to me... this type of thing only happens in the movies" moments??
well, grant & i did this weekend & it was def one i hope to NEVER relive.

my parents own a timeshare & when i told them we were going to a hillsong conference in orlando (about 40 min from our home), they offered to book us a room for the weekend. my mom was telling me about the room saying how it has a balcony & jacuzzi so of course grant & i were way excited.

so, its fri night & we sped over to orlando. we decided to check into the resort before we headed to the concert & even though we were on a very tight schedule. we got our keys & rushed up to the room just to drop our bags. we opened the door to see a beautiful hand-painted mural on the foyer wall & we were so excited for a 'retreat'. i, being obsessed with hotels, HAD to check out the jacuzzi & such so i walk into the bedroom. the first thing i noticed was the pretty outdated decor & then it hit me:

WHY IS THERE AN OPEN SUITCASE ON THE BED??

were we in someone elses room? was someone else in our room? yep, pretty much.

yeah... def not our stuff. i did spray some of her perfume though... ;)

the chick that checked us in was a little clueless as to what she was doing. with that said... the resort we were at have suite a's & b's. the a's have one bedroom with the jacuzzi, balcony, king size bed, full kitchen, etc. the b's have a teeny tiny bathroom, plastic couch, 2 double beds. most people rent both of them together and have room for up to 8 people.. well, when we were checked in, we were supposed to be in 'b' and were given access to both a & b. we walked up to our room & didnt even see the 'b' and walked right into 'a' (since the key worked...makes sense, right?). well... this brings you to the point where i am standing in what i thought was OUR bedroom & seeing someone else's luggage. puke. so, i had to change out of my work clothes & we had to get going so i made grant guard the door to make sure the tenants didnt come back!! we got the heck out of there & were dying laughing as we ran to the car. since we didnt have time to deal with the front desk, we threw our bags into crappy suite 'b' and left.

thankfully, my mom got everything figured out & for the mistake, they upgraded us to a suite 'a' & it was WONDERFUL! but seriously... makes me wonder if anyone has ever "ended" up in my room & had that same experience. creepy, eh?

ps-- a very important piece of the story is that when we were putting our luggage in 'b', the 'a' renters came back & their key def DID NOT work. ha... i watched throught the peep hole as the guy tried over & over & over again. i wanted to open the door & tell them they could have my key... however, grant stopped me cause they would have been waay creeped out as to why our key worked for their room. hah.
